Good Credit Begs For Abuse “When good credit and a car deal get into a price fight, good credit enters into the negotiation leading with it’s chin, asking to be knocked out flat on it’s back.
Why? Because good credit begs for abuse”
The natural by-product of a good credit score is that ‘Ten Foot Tall and Bulletproof’ feeling of entitlement and invincibility: “I know for sure I’ll get a good deal. I mean look at me! Look at my credit score! I deserve it. People who get bad deals are people with bad credit. Not me. My credit demands the red carpet treatment. My credit demands the best deal.”
WRONG!
In fact, just the opposite is true. Your good credit starts begging for abuse the moment you show up at the car lot flaunting your high credit score to the sales person.
Good credit encourages the bank to provide that commissioned salesperson with a bright green light to go ahead and add all the exceptions and extras on to your car loan. Your good credit is the ticket to longer months, higher prices, and a whole menu of after-market goodies that have absolutely no book value whatsoever.
